Five years after Pizzeria Mozza opened on the corner of Highland and Melrose, Nancy Silverton focused her attention southward with a second location of Pizzeria Mozza in California. Pizzeria Mozza is an expression of Nancy's unique aesthetic and approach to cooking: focused but not fussy, straightforward and always uncompromising. In the words of Gael Greene, "I'd never imaged [Nancy would] achieve perfection like this."

Having visited Osteria Mozza in LA, my hopes were that here there would be some element of shared experience on flavor and substance. Overall, it was good, the mark here does land a bit under the targets but l always side with the positive. I had some good bites and my desire was to try out this outpost to see how the Italian flavors would be presented. IΓ’β¬β’d say if Nancy Silverton were there how different would the overall be regarding flavors. Only this way could a real determination be made.

Fun place, for date night or with kids. We always sit at the pizza bar. Great service, too. It's as if your favorite neighborhood Italian joint was 5 stars. Enjoy every course here, every plate, every sip, every time.
